IRDAI has proposed major changes to insurance distribution rules in 2026, covering commission limits, distribution categories, mis-selling, and customer transparency. The proposals also include changes to motor insurance commissions, insurer expenses, and digital insurance services. Public comments are open until 25 October 2026, and the changes are not final yet.
